About our gin bottle labels
Custom gin bottle labels help give every bottle a distinctive and professional identity. Whether you are launching a craft spirit, creating a limited edition or preparing personalised bottles for an event, a well-designed label helps communicate the story and character behind the gin.
Our custom gin labels are printed in full colour on durable vinyl, cut to your required dimensions and supplied on easy-peel sheets. They are suitable for established distilleries, small-batch producers, farm shops, hospitality businesses, weddings, corporate gifts and special occasions.
Personalised gin labels for different occasions
Custom labels can be created for:
- Craft and small-batch gin
- New product launches
- Seasonal and limited-edition flavours
- Miniature gin bottles and tasting sets
- Wedding and event favours
- Corporate gifts
- Private-label spirits
- Front, back and neck bottle labels
- Presentation boxes and gift packaging
Each design can include your brand name, logo, botanical illustrations, flavour information, product description and any required bottle details.
Custom-shaped labels for gin bottles
Gin bottles come in many shapes, from traditional round bottles to square, rectangular and decorative designs. This product allows you to enter a custom label size from 3–250mm wide and 3–190mm high.
Your label can also be cut to a custom shape, giving you greater freedom than a standard rectangle or circle. Custom cutting works particularly well for logos, crests, illustrated borders and labels designed to follow the shape of the artwork.
Measure the available area carefully before ordering. If the bottle narrows, curves in more than one direction or has raised lettering, a smaller label may sit more neatly and be less likely to lift at the edges.
Gloss white vinyl gin labels
Gloss white vinyl provides a bright white background that helps colours, photographs and detailed illustrations stand out. Its smooth, glossy surface is a strong choice for vibrant branding and contemporary bottle designs.
Because the material has a solid white face, the colour of the bottle and liquid will not normally affect the appearance of the printed design.
Matt white vinyl gin labels
Matt white vinyl has a softer, less reflective surface. It is ideal for understated designs, traditional distillery branding and bottles intended to have a more refined or handcrafted appearance.
The white background keeps colours and small printed details clear, while the matt surface reduces glare under bright retail lighting.
Clear vinyl labels for a transparent finish
Gloss clear vinyl allows the glass and the contents of the bottle to remain visible through transparent areas of the design. This can create a clean “no-label” appearance that works especially well on clear gin bottles.
Printed colours can appear different when viewed against the bottle, liquid or background behind the label. White ink can be printed beneath selected elements where greater opacity is required. Clearly indicate any white-printing requirements when supplying your artwork.
Waterproof labels for chilled gin bottles
Vinyl is waterproof and better suited than standard paper to bottles that may be refrigerated or exposed to condensation. It is also more resistant to regular handling during packing, transport and serving.
For the best adhesion, apply the label to a clean, completely dry bottle at room temperature. Remove dust, grease and cleaning residue, then allow the adhesive time to bond before placing the bottle in a refrigerator or ice bucket.
Performance can vary on heavily textured, frosted, coated or compound-curved bottles. We recommend testing the material if your bottle has an unusual surface.
Front, back and neck labels
A large front label provides space for your brand and main product identity. A separate back label can carry descriptions, producer information, batch details and other required wording.
Smaller custom shapes can also be used for bottle necks, caps, seals and presentation packaging. Different label designs should normally be configured and ordered separately so the correct size, shape, material and quantity can be selected for each one.
Labels for miniature gin bottles and favours
Custom vinyl labels can be produced for miniature gin bottles used in tasting sets, wedding favours, gift boxes and corporate events. Measure the available flat or gently curved area carefully, as miniature bottles often have limited space between the shoulder and base.
Keep wording concise and avoid using very small text. If detailed information is required, consider placing it on a separate back label or outer package.
Artwork for custom gin labels
Upload editable vector artwork or a high-resolution bitmap at 300dpi for the clearest result. Make sure fine text remains readable at the finished label size.
If the background runs to the edge of the label, extend it 2–3mm beyond the cutting line to provide bleed. Keep important wording, borders and logos at least 1–2mm inside the finished edge.
Custom-shaped artwork should include a clear cutting path. If you are unsure how to prepare one, send us the design and intended dimensions so we can advise.
Information on gin bottle labels
Spirit drinks are subject to rules covering their description, presentation and labelling. Requirements may vary according to the product, alcohol content, bottle size and where it will be sold.
You are responsible for checking that your design contains the correct mandatory information and that protected descriptions such as “gin” are being used appropriately. StickyLabels prints the artwork supplied but does not approve products or certify their legal compliance.
Further information can be found in the relevant UK legislation covering spirit drinks or by obtaining appropriate professional advice.
Gin labels supplied on sheets
Custom gin labels are supplied kiss-cut on sheets, allowing each label to peel away easily from its backing. Sheets are convenient for storing and applying labels by hand to small and medium-sized batches of bottles.
This product is not supplied on rolls. If your labels will be applied by an automatic bottling or labelling machine, contact us before ordering to discuss the required format.

Choose gloss white vinyl for bold colours, matt white for a softer premium appearance or gloss clear vinyl for a transparent, printed-on-the-bottle effect.
Made for chilled bottles
Waterproof vinyl is suitable for bottles that may encounter refrigeration, condensation and occasional splashes. Apply each label to a clean, dry bottle and allow the adhesive time to bond before chilling.
