Matt gold paper—not gold foil

These labels are produced from matt gold-coloured paper and printed using black ink. They are not created using metallic foil stamping, gold ink or a mirror-finish material.

The exact colour and appearance of the gold may vary under different lighting and between a computer screen and the physical printed material. If matching the label to existing packaging is important, please ask about a material sample before ordering.

Black-only printing

This product is printed in black only. High-contrast wording, bold logos and uncomplicated artwork generally achieve the clearest result against the matt gold background.

Full-colour photographs, white ink, metallic printing and shaded colour designs cannot be reproduced through this particular label option. If your logo contains several colours, a simplified black version will usually be needed.

Custom gold labels for handmade products

Gold labels can add a consistent branded finish to handmade products without requiring large quantities of custom-manufactured packaging. Use them on suitable boxes, bags, tissue paper, tags and outer containers.

Your design could include your business name, logo, product type, website or a short handmade message. Make sure any required product or safety information remains clear and legible at the selected size.

Gold labels for candles and wax melts

Matt gold labels can be used to decorate suitable candle containers and outer packaging. Black printing works well for fragrance names, logos and simple care information.

Position the label away from the flame, wick and any area of the container that becomes excessively hot. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the selected material, label position and wording are suitable for the finished candle product.

Shapes and stock sizes

Choose from rectangular, circular, square and oval gold labels. Available rectangular sizes include 20 × 10mm, 37 × 24mm, 40 × 20mm, 49 × 22mm, 51 × 29mm, 62 × 38mm, 70 × 11mm, 74 × 24mm, 76 × 49mm, 89 × 36mm, 90 × 49mm, 102 × 75mm and 154 × 80mm.

Small labels are ideal for seals, prices and short messages. Larger sizes provide more room for branding, product descriptions and contact details. The available dimensions will change according to the shape selected.

Permanent adhesive for dry packaging

Gold paper labels are made with permanent adhesive and stick best to clean, dry and reasonably smooth surfaces. Suitable applications include paper, cardboard, glass and many common packaging materials.

Adhesion may vary on dusty cardboard, textured paper, fabric, curved containers and certain plastics. Testing is recommended where the surface has an unusual coating or finish.

Designed primarily for indoor use

As these labels are made from paper, they are intended mainly for indoor products and dry packaging. They are not waterproof and may be affected by condensation, oils, cleaning products or prolonged contact with moisture.

If the finished product will be regularly exposed to water, refrigeration or outdoor conditions, a vinyl label will normally be more suitable.

Preparing your custom gold label design

Choose your wording or upload simple black artwork. For the clearest print, supply an editable vector logo or a high-resolution black image at 300dpi.

Keep text and important artwork at least 1–2mm inside the finished edge. Fine lines and very small wording may not reproduce clearly, particularly on the smallest label sizes.

Check your design at its intended printed size and make sure there is enough contrast between the black artwork and gold background.

All gold labels are supplied on rolls, making them straightforward to store, peel and apply by hand. Rolls are convenient for small businesses, shops, packing stations and events where labels are used regularly.
