Choose the right label material

Paper labels are a cost-effective choice for packaging, branding and general indoor use. Laminated paper options provide additional protection, while biodegradable paper is available for businesses looking for a more environmentally conscious option.

For labels that may be exposed to moisture, handling or outdoor conditions, choose one of our durable vinyl materials. Options include gloss white, matt white and clear vinyl, depending on the finish and appearance you want to achieve.

Printed with your design

Upload your completed artwork or create a design using our online label builder. For the best printed result, artwork should be high resolution with important text and logos positioned safely away from the cut edge. Please include 2–3mm bleed where the background colour or image runs to the edge of the label.

A PDF proof is available on request, and we will only print once the proof has been approved. Printed proofs and material samples can also be arranged when you need to check the finish before placing a larger order.

What types of custom labels do you print?

We print custom paper labels on rolls, custom vinyl labels on sheets and die-cut vinyl stickers supplied individually. Each format is available in a choice of materials, shapes, sizes and quantities.

Should I order labels on sheets or rolls?

Choose labels on rolls when you need paper labels that are quick to peel and apply to products or packaging. Choose vinyl labels on sheets when durability or resistance to moisture is more important. Individually cut stickers are best for giveaways, merchandise and packaging inserts.

What is the difference between paper and vinyl labels?

Paper labels are an economical choice for packaging and general indoor use. Vinyl labels are more durable and better suited to applications involving moisture, regular handling or outdoor exposure. The right choice depends on where and how the label will be used.

Which materials are available for labels on rolls?

Our roll labels are available in white paper, biodegradable matt white paper, white paper with gloss laminate and white paper with matt laminate. Each material offers a different balance of appearance, protection and cost.

Which vinyl materials are available on sheets?

Choose from gloss white, matt white, gloss clear or extra-thick, extra-sticky gloss white vinyl. Gloss white is a versatile all-round option, matt white has a low-shine finish, and clear vinyl allows the surface beneath the label to show through.

Can I order labels in my own size and shape?

Yes. You can choose a standard circle, square, rectangle or oval, or enter a custom size. Custom-shaped options are also available when you need the cutting line to follow a particular design or logo.

Can you print labels from my own artwork?

Yes. Upload your finished artwork when ordering and we will check it before printing. Vector PDF, AI or EPS files usually produce the sharpest results, although we can also use high-resolution JPEG and PNG files.

Can I design my labels online?

Yes. Our online designer allows you to add wording, upload a logo and arrange the elements of your label. Alternatively, you can upload complete artwork created in your own design software.

Will I see a proof before my labels are printed?

We can provide a PDF proof where required so you can check the wording, layout, size and cutting shape. We only begin printing after the artwork has been approved. Please let us know if you need a proof before printing when you place the order if needed.

Do I need to add bleed to my artwork?

If colours or images run to the edge of the label, please add 2–3mm bleed beyond the cutting line. Keep important text and logos at least 1–2mm inside the cut edge to prevent them from appearing too close to the finished edge.

Are custom labels waterproof?

Our vinyl labels are waterproof and suitable for many demanding applications. Unlaminated paper labels are intended mainly for dry indoor use. Laminating a paper label adds protection against moisture and handling, but paper labels should not be treated as fully waterproof.

Can the labels be used on bottles and jars?

Yes. Our labels can be used on many bottles, jars and containers. Apply them to a clean, dry and smooth surface. For products kept in damp, chilled or frequently handled conditions, vinyl will usually be more suitable than unlaminated paper.

Can labels be applied to curved surfaces?

Labels can be applied to simple curved surfaces such as straight-sided bottles and jars. Compound curves, tapered containers and heavily textured surfaces can cause lifting or creasing, so we recommend testing a sample before placing a larger order.

Can I order different designs?

Yes, but each separate design may need to be ordered as its own product line. Contact us if you have several versions, colours, names or pieces of variable information and we can advise on the most economical way to print them.

How quickly will my custom labels be produced?

Our normal production time is approximately 1–2 working days after artwork approval. Tracked and express UK delivery services are available at checkout, including an urgent production option when available.

Can I see the materials before ordering?

Yes. Material samples and printed proofs can be arranged if you need to check the appearance, finish or suitability before ordering a full quantity. Contact our team and tell us how the labels will be used.
