Radiant Red fluorescent labels

Radiant Red paper is a bold fluorescent material that works well for urgent information, warnings, rejected items, overdue notices and messages requiring immediate attention.

As the material is printed in black only, bold wording and uncomplicated designs generally produce the clearest result. Avoid relying on the material colour alone when communicating critical safety information.

Radiant Yellow fluorescent labels

Radiant Yellow provides a bright, noticeable background for prices, promotions, stock references, delivery instructions and general notices. It is particularly effective where a white or standard-coloured label could be easily missed.

Black text, borders and simple symbols create the strongest contrast and make good use of the fluorescent background.

Black-only printing for clear contrast

Custom fluorescent labels are printed using black ink only. This creates a strong contrast against the Radiant Red or Radiant Yellow paper and helps text remain clear and easy to read.

Simple logos, bold text, borders and uncomplicated symbols are generally the most suitable designs. Full-colour photographs, white ink, metallic effects and colour gradients cannot be reproduced through this product option.

Fluorescent paper labels with permanent adhesive

These labels are produced using fluorescent paper with permanent adhesive. They adhere best to clean, dry and reasonably smooth surfaces such as cardboard boxes, paper packaging, envelopes, files, documents and suitable plastic containers.

Adhesion can vary on dusty cardboard, heavily textured surfaces, flexible packaging, curved containers and certain plastics. If your application is unusual or particularly demanding, we recommend testing the material before ordering a larger quantity.

Fluorescent does not mean reflective

Fluorescent labels appear especially bright under normal daylight and suitable artificial lighting. They do not reflect light in the same way as specialist road-sign or vehicle-marking material.

If your labels need to be visible when illuminated by vehicle headlights or used as part of specialist safety equipment, this fluorescent paper product may not be suitable.

Fluorescent labels do not glow in the dark

These labels do not store light or remain illuminated in darkness. They require a normal light source for the fluorescent colour to remain visible.

If your application requires photoluminescent, glow-in-the-dark or emergency-exit material, you will need a specialist product designed and tested for that purpose.

Designed for indoor and dry applications

Radiant Red and Radiant Yellow are paper materials, so they are primarily intended for indoor use and dry environments. They are not waterproof and may be affected by rain, condensation, cleaning products or prolonged exposure to moisture.

For packaging, stock rooms, offices, retail environments and other dry applications, fluorescent paper provides an economical way to make printed information more noticeable.

Fluorescent warning and safety labels

Fluorescent labels can be printed with warning messages, instructions and attention-grabbing wording. However, they are not automatically compliant safety labels simply because fluorescent colours have been used.

Where a particular symbol, colour, material, size or layout is required by legislation, an industry standard or a workplace procedure, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the submitted design is suitable and compliant.

Shapes and sizes

Choose from rectangular, circular, square and oval fluorescent labels. Available rectangular sizes include 37 × 24mm, 51 × 29mm, 62 × 38mm, 76 × 49mm, 90 × 49mm, 102 × 75mm and 154 × 80mm, with the relevant options displayed in the label calculator.

Smaller labels are suitable for prices, reference numbers and brief instructions. Larger sizes provide more room for prominent warnings, handling directions and multi-line messages.

Keep your fluorescent label design easy to read

Fluorescent labels work best with clear black wording, bold borders and uncomplicated symbols. Use a font size that will remain legible at the finished label dimensions and avoid positioning important information too close to the edge.

For the clearest result, supply editable vector artwork or a high-resolution black image at 300dpi. Fine lines and very small text may not reproduce clearly, particularly on smaller labels.

Fluorescent labels supplied on rolls

Every label is supplied on a roll, making larger quantities easy to store, handle and apply. Rolls are convenient for shops, offices, warehouses, dispatch departments and production areas where labels are used regularly.
