I\u2019ve seen many interesting uses of labels over the years and read with interest a recent news story in the Telegraph announcing that staircases will be labelled with calorie-counting signs designed to boost exercise amongst office workers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

According to health experts, stair climbing is classed as \u201cVigorous\u201d exercise, \u201cburning more calories than jogging.\u201d The scheme is based on behavioural economics or \u201cNudge Theory\u201d and is aimed at gently influencing peoples habits helping strengthen their hearts through exercise.<\/p>

The new scheme will see staircases labelled throughout the country with calorie totals and was developed by \u201cStep Jockey\u201d with a \u00a350 million grant from the government.<\/p>
